Meet Steve

I would like for you all to meet Steve. Yes this cabbage has a name. Jeremiah came home from school with a cabbage and he named it. Why did he name it? I don't know. Leave it to my son to name his cabbage. But I thought it was so cute that I had to share it with all of you. I have to monitor Steve's progress and weigh him at the end of his growth cycle. We are to care Steve through May 26. The student with the heaviest cabbage gets entered into a contest to win a 1,000.00 Scholarship. A scholarship for what? Plant school? I really don't understand why school administrators are encouraging our children to grow cabbage plants for money. What does this have to do with anything? Oh well. It makes for a good memory. My son named his cabbage plant Steve!
